Boca Grande Florida

From old Salts to old Money. Boca Grande is also referred to as Gasparilla Island which is partially located in Lee County.  Phosphate was discovered within the beds of the Peace River and was transported down the River to the docks of Boca Grande. The Boca Grande pass is one of the deepest channels on the West coast of Florida at almost 80 feet deep also known as the "Tarpon Capitol of the world" and these fish can weigh in excess of 200 pounds. The island has been protected from over development and regarded as an historical district by the federal government.  Come, visit and stay awhile.
